Alias Grace
Overview
Grace Marks says she doesn't remember the murders. Her doctor isn't sure he believes her. Atwood's true-crime mystery unfolds across six episodes of gorgeous ambiguity, with Gadon mesmerizing as a woman who might be innocent, cunning, or both. The fact it really happened makes the uncertainty cut deeper. Essential, unsettling television. Harron directs with a painter's eye and a psychologist's patience.
