Arrival
Overview
I'll be honest — I walked in expecting an alien invasion movie and walked out thinking about time, grief, and language for a week. Amy Adams plays a linguist trying to communicate with mysterious visitors, and the film treats that puzzle with total seriousness. It's quiet, cerebral, and the ending recontextualizes everything. If you like sci-fi that respects your intelligence, this is essential viewing.
