Days of Thunder
Overview
Top Gun with race cars. Tom Cruise plays Cole Trickle, a cocky young NASCAR driver who has to learn that winning takes more than speed — with Robert Duvall as the crew chief who teaches him. Tony Scott shoots it all golden-hour sweat and roaring engines. Critics called it dumb; racing fans call it gospel. Pure early-'90s adrenaline. Don't think, just feel the thunder.
