Overview

Baz Luhrmann doing Elvis was always going to be loud, and it is — glitter, sweat, screaming crowds, pure sensory overload. Austin Butler doesn't impersonate the King so much as channel him; you'll forget you're watching an actor. Tom Hanks' Colonel Parker narrates as the villain of the piece. The '68 Comeback Special sequence alone is worth it. Music biopic skeptics: this one's different.
