The First Omen
Overview
Nobody asked for an Omen prequel, and then it turned out to be one of the best horror films of 2024. A young American novitiate in Rome uncovers a conspiracy inside the church itself, and the dread builds beautifully — patient, atmospheric, genuinely upsetting in places. Nell Tiger Free is terrific. That one infamous scene will be talked about for years. Horror fans: don't sleep on this.
