Kandahar
Overview
His cover is blown in the worst place on earth. Butler plays a CIA contractor exposed in Afghanistan, fighting his way to an extraction point with only a translator at his side. Waugh keeps it lean and dusty — no superheroes, no quips, just gunfire and bad odds. It's the kind of meat-and-potatoes action movie they don't make enough of anymore. A rock-solid pick for a Friday night with zero pretensions.
