The Last Mercenary
Overview
Jean-Claude Van Damme plays a legendary ex-spy dragged out of quiet retirement to rescue his estranged accountant son — and spends the whole film winking at his own action-hero image. It's silly French action-comedy that knows precisely what it is and leans all the way in. Van Damme's comic timing is the genuine surprise here. Completely undemanding, completely fun.
