Overview

A depressed dad, a heroin-addicted grandpa, a suicidal uncle, a silent kid, and a mom holding it all together pile into a broken VW bus so 7-year-old Olive can compete in a beauty pageant. It sounds bleak; it's the warmest comedy you'll ever see. Steve Carell and Alan Arkin are perfect. The final pageant scene is pure joy. Bring tissues for the happy kind of crying.
