Nightcrawler
Overview
Jake Gyllenhaal plays Lou Bloom, a gaunt LA drifter who discovers he can make money filming crime scenes for the morning news — and he'll do literally anything to get the shot. It's a pitch-black satire of media hunger and ambition without conscience. Gyllenhaal is terrifyingly good; you can't look away from him even when you want to. Uncomfortable, gripping, and uncomfortably relevant.
