The Pale Blue Eye
Overview
The Pale Blue Eye is a 2022 mystery thriller film written and directed by Scott Cooper, based on the 2006 novel by Louis Bayard. The film stars Christian Bale as Augustus Landor, a world-weary veteran detective in 1830s New York. He is hired to investigate a series of gruesome murders at the United States Military Academy at West Point, where cadets are being killed and mutilated. Landor enlists the help of an unusually perceptive young cadet named Edgar Allan Poe, played by Harry Melling, and together they descend into a dark and sinister mystery that challenges everything they believe.
