The Pale Blue Eye
Overview
Christian Bale, 1830, West Point, and a cadet named Edgar Allan Poe helping solve murders. That's the pitch, and it's as good as it sounds. A weary detective investigates gruesome killings at the military academy, recruiting the young Poe as his odd, brilliant assistant. It's moody, literary, and beautifully shot — winter has never looked colder. Poe fans will eat up every reference. A classy, chilling mystery.
