Squid Game
Overview
456 people. One prize. Zero mercy. Desperate and drowning in debt, Gi-hun accepts an invitation to play children's games — and learns the losers don't go home. Hwang's series became a worldwide phenomenon because it's really about money: who has it, who needs it, and what it does to people. The candy-colored sets make the violence hit harder. Tug-of-war night is still one of the tensest hours of TV I've ever watched. Brutal, brilliant, impossible to stop.
