Sunshine
Overview
Danny Boyle sends a crew to reignite the dying sun, and everything that possibly can go wrong does. The first two acts are stunning hard sci-fi — Cillian Murphy is fantastic and the visuals are unreal. The third act takes a divisive turn into darker territory. Even so, that final sequence is jaw-dropping. Flawed, but unforgettable.
