The Batman
Overview
Matt Reeves gives us a Batman who's more detective than superhero — bruised, brooding, and barely holding it together in his second year. Gotham is rain-soaked and rotting, and Paul Dano's Riddler is genuinely unsettling, the kind of villain who gets under your skin. At nearly three hours it demands patience, but the atmosphere is so thick you could cut it. The best Batman film since The Dark Knight, full stop.
