The Fugitive
Overview
Wrongly convicted of murdering his wife, Dr. Richard Kimble escapes custody and hunts a one-armed man while Tommy Lee Jones's relentless marshal hunts him. Ford plays desperation better than anyone — sweaty, limping, improvising — and Jones won an Oscar for chewing through every scene with weary wit. The dam jump, the St. Patrick's Day parade, the train wreck: set pieces that still thrill.
