The Social Network
Overview
A movie about a website that plays like a thriller — that's the magic trick here. Jesse Eisenberg's Zuckerberg is brilliant, prickly, and impossible to like, and the betrayal between friends stings more than any courtroom scene. Sorkin's dialogue crackles, Fincher's direction is ice-cold precise. Even if you don't care about Facebook, this is just great filmmaking. The rowing scene alone is legendary.
