Overview
True Detective is a 2014 anthology crime drama television series created by Nic Pizzolatto for HBO. Each season of the series features a new cast of characters, a new setting, and a new story. The first season is set in Louisiana, and it follows Detectives Rust Cohle (Matthew McConaughey) and Martin Hart (Woody Harrelson) as they investigate a serial killer over a period of 17 years.
