The Watchers
Overview
The Watchers is a 2024 supernatural horror film directed by Ishana Night Shyamalan, based on the 2021 novel of the same name by A.M. Shine. The film stars Dakota Fanning as Mina, a young American artist who gets lost in a vast, primeval forest in Ireland. She takes shelter in a concrete bunker, where she finds three other people who are trapped. At night, the bunker is watched by mysterious creatures, the Watchers. The film is a slow-burn, atmospheric, and suspenseful horror film. It is a mystery box, filled with twists and turns. The film was panned by critics, but it was a commercial success, earning over $30 million on a $30 million budget.
