Overview
The Boys Season 1 is the first season of Amazon Prime Video's satirical superhero series. Set in a world where superheroes are corrupt and dangerous, the season follows The Boys, a vigilante group of ordinary humans trying to take down the corrupt superhero team The Seven. The leader of The Seven is Homelander (Antony Starr), a terrifying sociopath who craves love and adoration. The Boys are led by Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), a brutal, vengeance-driven former SAS soldier whose wife was supposedly killed by Homelander. The first season ends with Butcher discovering that his wife is alive. The Boys is a savage satire of celebrity culture, corporate greed, and the abuse of power.
