Foundation Season 1
Overview
An empire that clones its emperor. What could go wrong? Everything, over 12,000 years. Asimov's unfilmable saga becomes a gorgeous space epic about math versus empire: a psychohistorian predicts civilization's fall, and the clone dynasty of Dawn, Day, and Dusk refuses to fade quietly. Lee Pace is mesmerizing as Brother Day — arrogance as art. The ideas are enormous, the visuals genuinely cinematic. Dense at first; give it three episodes and the scale swallows you whole.
