Overview
Mindhunter is a 2017 psychological crime thriller television series created by Joe Penhall and executive produced by David Fincher, based on the true crime book by FBI agents John Douglas and Mark Olshaker. Set in the late 1970s, the series follows FBI agents Holden Ford and Bill Tench as they pioneer criminal profiling and behavioral science methodology, conducting in-depth interviews with imprisoned serial killers to better understand their psychology and use that knowledge to solve active murder cases. Gripping, methodical, and deeply unsettling, Mindhunter is one of the finest crime dramas ever produced for television.
