The Walking Dead is a 2010 horror drama television series developed by Frank Darabont for AMC. The third season continues the story of Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and the group of survivors. The season introduces a new setting: a prison, which the group makes their new home. They also face a new villain: The Governor (David Morrissey), the charismatic, ruthless leader of the nearby town of Woodbury. The third season is a tense, terrifying, and emotional season. The season ends with the group defeating the Governor, but losing many members in the process.
