American Fiction
Overview
The smartest comedy about publishing you'll ever see. A Black novelist, fed up with the industry only wanting trauma stories, writes the most stereotypical book imaginable as a joke — and it becomes a hit. Jeffrey Wright is phenomenal. Sharp, angry, and very funny about uncomfortable truths. Won the Oscar for adapted screenplay — deservedly. Seek it out.
