American Symphony
Overview
While composing his "American Symphony," Jon Batiste learns his wife Suleika's leukemia is back. Matthew Heineman's documentary follows a genius at the peak of his powers colliding with life at its most fragile — studio sessions and hospital rooms, Grammys and fear. Intimate without being invasive. Music fans will love the process footage; everyone will feel the marriage at its center. Quietly devastating, ultimately uplifting.
