Overview
Andor is a 2022 spy thriller television series created by Tony Gilroy for Disney+, set in the Star Wars universe. The first season is a prequel to the 2016 film Rogue One, following Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) in the five years leading up to the events of that film. The series is a slow-burn, grounded, and politically complex espionage drama. It follows Cassian as he goes from a cynical, apolitical thief to a committed rebel willing to sacrifice everything for the cause. The first season was a critical success, praised for its writing, its acting, and its mature, sophisticated tone. The series has been renewed for a second and final season.
