Annihilation
Overview
A biologist joins an all-female expedition into the Shimmer — a quarantined zone where DNA refracts and nature dreams in impossible shapes. Garland's sci-fi horror refuses easy answers; it's about grief, self-destruction, and change as much as aliens. The lighthouse finale is pure psychedelic dread. Portman is superb. Demanding, strange, and unlike most studio sci-fi. Let it wash over you.
