Apocalypse Now
Overview
Coppola went into the jungle and came back with madness on film — literally; the production was famously as unhinged as the movie. A soldier travels upriver in Vietnam to assassinate a colonel who's set himself up as a god, and the journey gets stranger and darker with every mile. The helicopter attack scored to Wagner is pure cinema. It's long, it's heavy, and it's one of those films every serious movie fan has to see once.
