Casino
Overview
Scorsese took the Goodfellas formula to Las Vegas and turned the volume up until it broke. De Niro's cold control, Pesci's volcanic temper, and Sharon Stone's Oscar-nominated turn as a hustler who out-hustles them all. The voiceover explains the whole casino scam economy. It runs long, but the last hour is pure implosion — mesmerizing.
