The Color of Money
Overview
Paul Newman dusts off Fast Eddie Felson twenty-five years after The Hustler, now mentoring a young pool shark played by Tom Cruise. Scorsese turns a pool hall drama into a meditation on aging, pride, and hustling. Newman finally won his Oscar for this. Smoky, cool, and quietly sad — the rare sequel that deepens the original.
