Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
Overview
Ang Lee took the wuxia epic and made it poetry. Two legendary warriors, a stolen sword, and a rebellious young noblewoman who refuses the life chosen for her. The fight scenes — people gliding across rooftops and treetops — still look like nothing else in cinema. Beneath the action beats a genuinely aching love story. If you've never watched a martial arts film, start here. You'll understand the hype within minutes.
