The Father
Overview
Dementia, filmed from the inside. Anthony Hopkins plays a man losing his grip on reality, and the film traps you in his confusion — faces change, rooms shift. Devastating and brilliantly constructed. Hopkins deserved every award. Not easy, but essential. If you've loved someone through this, it'll wreck you — in the necessary way. Masterful filmmaking. Heartbreaking and beautifully made.
