Overview
A lonely letter-writer falls for an AI with Scarlett Johansson's voice, and Spike Jonze sells it completely. The genius is in the details — the high-waisted trousers, the warm pastel future, the small heartbreaks of a relationship where one person has no body. Phoenix gives the quietest great performance of his career. It's funny until it suddenly isn't. You'll look at your phone differently afterward — guaranteed to unsettle.
