Overview
Homeland is a 2011 political thriller television series developed by Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa for Showtime. The second season continues the story of Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) and Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis). Brody is now a US congressman. He is still working for Abu Nazir, the terrorist leader. Carrie is trying to prove that Brody is a terrorist. The second season is a tense, action-packed, and twisty thriller. It was a critical and commercial success, winning several awards, including a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress for Claire Danes. The show is a must-see for fans of the first season and for anyone who loves a good, suspenseful political thriller. The season ends with a massive bomb explosion at the CIA headquarters.
