The Sopranos Season 1
Overview
Where it all began: a mob boss, a panic attack, and a therapist's couch. Season one introduces Tony Soprano's two families — the crime one and the blood one — and the collision course they're on. Gandolfini is magnetic from the first scene, and the ducks in the pool might be TV's greatest metaphor. It plays like a great American novel that happens to have whackings. Start here; television was never the same.
