The Pacific
Overview
From the Band of Brothers team comes its darker, harder sibling. This miniseries follows three Marines through the Pacific theater — Guadalcanal, Peleliu, Okinawa — and it doesn't flinch from the horror. The jungle combat is nightmarish in a way Europe never was. Beautifully made and deeply respectful of its subjects. Harrowing, essential viewing for anyone who wants to understand the cost of war.
