You know the twist. Everyone knows the twist. Watch it anyway. A child psychologist takes on a young boy who claims he sees dead people, and M. Night Shyamalan builds dread out of whispers and hallway shadows rather than jump scares. Haley Joel Osment's performance still holds up beautifully. Knowing the ending actually makes the second viewing richer — you'll catch every planted clue. A modern classic for a reason.
