We Were the Lucky Ones
Overview
Based on Georgia Hunter's novel about her own family, this limited series follows the Kurcs, a Jewish family torn apart across continents by the Holocaust, each fighting to survive and find each other again. It's harrowing but deeply humane, anchored by excellent performances from Joey King and Logan Lerman. Difficult to watch at times, impossible to forget. A vital, beautifully made piece of television.
