The second season continues the story of Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill), Yennefer of Vengerberg (Anya Chalotra), and Ciri (Freya Allan). The second season follows Geralt as he trains Ciri at Kaer Morhen, the Witcher stronghold. Yennefer has lost her magic, and she is trying to get it back. The season also introduces new characters, including Vesemir (Kim Bodnia), the oldest Witcher. The second season ends with a mysterious monolith being destroyed, unleashing a new threat. The Witcher is a dark, mature, and entertaining fantasy series. Henry Cavill is a passionate fan of the books and games, and he brings a physical intensity to the role. After the third season, Cavill left the role and was replaced by Liam Hemsworth for the fourth season.
