The Woman King
Overview
History forgot them. This film doesn't. Davis commands the screen as General Nanisca, leader of the Agojie — the all-female warriors who defended 19th-century Dahomey. Prince-Bythewood delivers thunderous battle scenes wrapped around a genuinely emotional story, and Mbedu shines as the young recruit finding her strength. Powerful, rousing, and decades overdue. Historical action with real stakes and a beating heart.
