Overview

The Titanic sinks, the heir dies, and Downton Abbey begins. Julian Fellowes' period drama follows the Crawleys upstairs and their servants downstairs with equal love — lavish costumes, sharp wit, and Maggie Smith stealing every scene she's in. Season one hooks you with the inheritance drama and keeps you with the characters. Pure comfort prestige TV. You'll be saying "what a week" within days.
