Overview
Game of Thrones is a 2011 fantasy drama television series created by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss for HBO. The fifth season continues the story of the characters. The season follows Daenerys as she struggles to rule Meereen. She is opposed by the Sons of the Harpy, a resistance movement. The season also follows Jon Snow (Kit Harington), the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, as he tries to make peace with the wildlings. The fifth season ends with Jon being betrayed and murdered by his own men. The season is controversial for its depiction of sexual violence. Game of Thrones is a series that is not afraid to push boundaries.
