The Penguin Season 1
Overview
Gotham's underworld, minus the Batman. Somehow better for it. Colin Farrell disappears under prosthetics to play Oz Cobb, a mid-level crook clawing toward the top of a flooded, Falcone-less Gotham. But the revelation is Cristin Milioti's Sofia — wounded, terrifying, utterly magnetic. It's a gangster saga first, comic-book show second, with a mother-son dynamic that curdles your stomach. Eight episodes, no filler, a finale that recontextualizes everything. The best thing DC has made in years.
