The Sandman Season 1
Overview
Neil Gaiman's 'unfilmable' comic, filmed beautifully. Dream, lord of the dreaming, escapes a century of captivity and sets out to rebuild his broken kingdom. Tom Sturridge is perfectly otherworldly. Episode five — the diner — is one of the darkest hours of TV ever made. Fantasy fans who skipped this missed out — correct that immediately. Dark fantasy at its absolute finest.
