Downton Abbey Season 2
Overview
Downton becomes a convalescent home, and the Great War redraws every line of the household. Matthew ships to the front, the women take charge, and every storyline sharpens. The Christmas special is pure comfort viewing. Period drama with wit and heart - though sticklers may spot a few historical shortcuts. Pour the tea. Fellowes writes upstairs and downstairs with equal affection.
