Dunkirk
Overview
Nolan told a WWII evacuation with almost no dialogue and barely any backstory — just men trying to get off a beach alive. The ticking-clock structure, an hour and a day and a week colliding, shouldn't work, but it does. Hans Zimmer's score sounds like a heart about to give out. See it loud; it's a physical experience more than a movie.
