Overview

Bill Nighy plays a repressed 1950s London bureaucrat who, given months to live, finally decides to actually live — starting with building a small playground. A quiet remake of Kurosawa's Ikiru, and Nighy's performance is a masterclass in understatement. You'll think about your own life on the walk home. Devastating in the gentlest possible way.
