Walk the Line
Overview
Joaquin Phoenix becomes Johnny Cash — the voice, the swagger, the demons. This biopic traces Cash from cotton fields to Folsom Prison, with Reese Witherspoon stealing scenes as June Carter. Phoenix does his own singing, and it's genuinely impressive. A classic rise-fall-redemption story told with real heart. The concert scenes alone are electric. The prison concert sequence alone justifies the entire film.
