Presumed Innocent
Overview
Did he do it? Presumed Innocent follows a prosecutor accused of murdering a colleague he was having an affair with, and Jake Gyllenhaal plays him with just enough unease to keep you guessing. It's a courtroom thriller that actually respects the genre — sharp writing, no cheap twists, and a final episode that reframes everything. If you like your mysteries knotty and your characters morally gray, clear your weekend.
