The Green Mile
Overview
Keep tissues nearby. I'm serious. Tom Hanks plays a Depression-era death row guard who meets an inmate with an impossible gift, and what unfolds is three hours of the most humane storytelling you'll ever see. Yes, it's long. Yes, you'll cry — everyone does. Michael Clarke Duncan gives one of the gentlest performances in film history. Frank Darabont's Stephen King adaptations are undefeated, and this is the crown jewel.
