Overview
The White Lotus is a 2021 satirical comedy-drama anthology television series created by Mike White for HBO. The second season is set at the White Lotus resort in Taormina, Sicily. The guests include: Tanya McQuoid (Jennifer Coolidge), now married; Portia (Haley Lu Richardson), Tanya's assistant; Ethan (Will Sharpe) and Harper (Aubrey Plaza), a married couple; Cameron (Theo James) and Daphne (Meghann Fahy), a wealthy, charismatic couple; and two Italian sex workers. The second season explores themes of infidelity, desire, and the battle of the sexes. The second season was a massive critical and commercial success, winning numerous awards. The show is a must-see for fans of the first season and for anyone who loves a good, darkly funny, and uncomfortable look at the lives of the wealthy and privileged.
