Tár
Overview
Power doesn't corrupt here — it curates. Blanchett plays Lydia Tár, a titan of classical music conducting her own downfall in slow motion. Todd Field's drama watches her empire of reputation, students, and orchestras crack under the weight of her own behavior, and it never tells you how to feel about it. The final scene reframes everything. If you like films that trust you to argue with them, this one will live in your head for weeks.
